Mul-T-Lock's high performing Garrison Security Range is being fitted to properties belonging to Riverside by local locksmiths LKM Security Systems, to ensure the safety and security of residents.

Liverpool based, Riverside is one of the UK's leading social housing and regeneration organisations with 50,000 properties from Carlisle to Kent. It is currently working to improve resident safety and security, in line with its own housing strategy and the Government's target for Decent Homes.

LKM Security Systems recommended Mul-T-Lock's Garrison Security Range, which is available as a master key system, to provide high quality protection for residents' homes, whilst allowing Riverside to maintain access control. The locksmith is now retrofitting a huge number of homes monthly on a rolling programme to ensure all properties are secure.

Mul-T-Lock's Garrison cylinder range is based on a precision engineered pin tumbler mechanism, which incorporates seven separate chambers for added protection, as opposed to the traditional five. All Garrison cylinders are operated by one double entry key, which eliminates the need to carry several keys to access all areas of a property.

Says Glyn Branthwaite, Property Services Manager for Riverside: "The delivery of safe and secure social housing is a key priority for Riverside. LKM Security Systems recommended Mul-T-Lock's Garrison range as the most effective master locking solution to suit our specification."

"Residents have been greatly impressed with the new locking systems, with many commenting on the convenience of only needing to remember one key to access all areas of their home. At the same time, choosing the master keying option allows us to monitor access to communal areas."

"LKM Security Systems has truly delivered a first class contractor service that we can rely on, even out of hours, to reassure residents that their homes are protected."

James Jardine, locksmith and owner of LKM Security Systems, added: "As each Garrison product is supplied with a personal key identification card, it means we cut original keys, and not copies, each and every time additional keys are required. This not only prolongs the durability of the system making it cost-effective, but also ensures key control for residents and Riverside alike. I would certainly recommend the range to other social housing providers looking to provide vital home security."

The Garrison cylinders are available in both polished brass and nickel satin finishes which complement existing door furniture. The cylinders also protect against forced cylinder manipulation and turning attack.

The range is supplied with a double sided dimple key that can be used either way to open the lock, which is beneficial in dimly lit areas or for elderly or visually impaired users.

Matt Rice, Marketing Manager at Mul-T-Lock, concluded: "The Garrison Security Range is great for large social housing providers like Riverside which have a variety of properties in their portfolio. By LKM Security Systems recommending the product, it also shows how our network of locksmiths goes beyond the minimum performance standards for security, as specified in Government targets such as Decent Homes to ensure properties are safe and secure."

The Garrison range is offered by Mul-T-Lock (UK), which offers a number of high security patented key systems that offers industry leading levels of legal protection against unauthorised key duplication, suitable for most home or office applications.
