Promise Technology logo, the company will showcase turnkey solutions for video surveillance applications at IFSEC 2011

On show at the Promise Technology stand will be a range of RAID storage systems suitable for large video surveillance installations
Promise Technology will be exhibiting at IFSEC 2011 in Birmingham, UK to demonstrate their complete range of professional RAID storage systems, optimised for storing huge data streams within video surveillance projects of any size.

RAID storage provides a centralised system for storing data from a video management system for IP based cameras, which can also be connected via Ethernet topology to a local area network (LAN). The connectivity to video management software systems (VMS) can be realised by using NAS- or iSCSI technologies. Using the iSCSI interface offers the highest possible data transfer rate of video data, completely managed by the VMS system.

Beside well known RAID storage systems for a rack mounted solution, Promise Technology will also be showing the 4bay and 6bay desktop solutions SmartStor NS4700 and NS6700 which include prescanned, prequalified and preconfigured high end hard disk drives. As turn key solution SmartStor offers capacities of up to 12 TeraBytes, a data transfer rate up to 210 MByte/s and approximately 2 Gbit/s via two Ethernet interfaces.

Also on display at Promise's booth at IFSEC in Birmingham will be the established VessRAID storage systems. These are optimised for applications with 160 TByte capacities in video surveillance applications via NAS, iSCSI or FibreChannel, as well as the fully redundant VTrak RAID Storage Systems connectable to 8 Gbit/s FibreChannel storage area networks.

We've also produced a new guide for video surveillance applications, which will be available at our booth

Albrecht Hestermann, Marketing Director for Promise said:"We have an exciting range to show at IFSEC this year, and because we've developed solutions to fit a range of requirements, we've also produced a new guide for video surveillance applications, which will be available at our booth. We're looking forward to meeting people to discuss and deliver a storage solution which meets their requirements."

The Promise Storage Guide for video surveillance applications is also available to download at www.promise.com/surveillance and has been produced to help installers and project managers choose the right storage solution for their video surveillance requirements.
