Fujitsu Europe Ltd, will be exhibiting its latest biometric solutions at Biometrics 2006, the annual conference and exhibition on the practical applications of Biometrics. The conference is taking place between the 18th and 20th of October at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference centre in Westminster, London.
The exhibition is an amalgamation of developers and suppliers of biometric systems, system integrators and suppliers of associated services and products. Fujitsu Europe will be located at Stand number 201 and will be demonstrating its PalmSecure biometric solution as well as inviting partners Yarg Biometrics and Sneath to provide practical demonstrations of their EPOS and physical access control solutions.
Fujitsu's PalmSecure solution was developed by Fujitsu as the world's first palm vein-based biometric authentication system. The sensor captures the palm vein pattern of the user and compares it with pre-registered data to authenticate the user's identity. The sensor is compact and can be safely and flexibly used in a wide range of applications, such as in PCs, ATMs and for building and room access.
The conference allows delegates to get practical advice, tips and solutions on the use of biometric technology in citizen identification, transactions, surveillance, tracking travellers, physical and logical access control and combating fraud. Mike Nelson, General Manager; Fujitsu Europe, will be speaking on Thursday 19 October at 11.20am to discuss current biometric system applications and case histories.
