eyewatch and AstroSoft present camera with embedded applications at Security Essen 2012
AstroSoft presented IP-cameras with embedded modules for movement and colour detection at Security Essen 2012

eyewatch GmbH, a German manufacturer of high-resolution intelligent IP video server cameras, and AstroSoft, a Russian IT service provider, have taken part at last week's Security Essen 2012 in Hall 2, Stand 318. They presented IP-cameras with embedded modules for movement and colour detection. Applications that were previously reserved for centrally based servers are installed directly within the eyewatch camera. These innovations are showcased as a joint venture with AstroSoft.

AstroSoft is one of the oldest Russian IT service providers with a 20-year successful experience in the global market. AstroSoft’s specialty is the development of software for video surveillance systems. The company has more than 13 years of experience in embedded applications for creating complete video surveillance systems.

The modules developed by AstroSoft enable the rapid handling of video data without any load on the IP-camera’s CPU. This way the manufacturer is not required to install a powerful microprocessor onboard each camera, thus reducing the cost of camera components without compromising performance.

At Security Essen 2012, AstroSoft will be located in the area pertaining to video surveillance—specifically the development of applications for embedding in IP-cameras. Other advances made by AstroSoft in this field include the development of software for IP-cameras and recorders, products that will work with a large array of cameras. AstroSoft has experience in the integration of video for high-resolution images (50-100 megapixels) and 3D-models.

“The solution, implemented within the framework of our German partner company, eyewatch, will be of interest to device manufacturers and developers working in the area of surveillance”,
said Yan Stolyar, Chief Commercial Officer of AstroSoft. “A sample IP-camera, produced by eyewatch, will be used to demonstrate the ability to embed modules that can address a number of tasks in the field of video surveillance and video analysis.”
