NLSS Gateway has been deployed as part of Navarre Corp’s strategic initiative to increase security
Navarre wanted to transition from an analogue system to an IP-based security solution

Next Level Security Systems, a developer of a new breed of unified, networked security solutions, recently announced that Navarre Corp. has deployed the NLSS Gateway as part of a strategic initiative to increase security in select distribution facilities in North America.

Navarre Distribution Services and Navarre Logistical Services, subsidiaries of Navarre Corp., provide North American retailers and their suppliers with agile distribution and returns management, third-party logistics (3PL), online fulfilment and custom marketing programs, powered by a best-in-class systems infrastructure and collaborative support teams. To best service its customers and further secure its infrastructure, Navarre looked to transition from an analogue system to an IP-based security solution that could enable the security team to capture higher-quality video, take advantage of its robust IT infrastructure, enable multiple users to access the system from remote locations, and incorporate intelligent search functions and video analytics to speed up forensic tasks.

"Security is a priority for Navarre and we required a networked-based solution that would enable us to easily manage various security systems through one interface, while providing the option of integrating with other network devices," said Sam Hildebrandt, Director of Operations, Navarre Corp. "The NLSS Gateway provides us with the opportunity to realise real-world efficiencies within our security department, and provide an immediate return-on-investment."

The NLSS Gateway integrates networked video management, IP access control, video analytics and intrusion from the point of manufacture, limiting the need for complex and costly custom integration. The combination of video management, IP access control and analytics provides an enhanced view of security operations as data from these systems are correlated and presented in a unified manner. Users can tap into the inherent benefits of video analytics and clearly defined event management procedures to make quicker, more informed decisions. The system also offers Next Level Remote Management Services (Next Level RMS), which draws on improvements in cloud-computing technology to offer more than other hosted service models currently used in the security market.

"The integrated appliance approach provided by the NLSS Gateway enables the Navarre security team to rapidly pinpoint relevant video and see how it aligns with other systems to make intelligent, informed decisions," said Peter Jankowski, Chairman and CEO, Next Level Security Systems. "It is our goal to provide technologies that enable users the freedom and flexibility needed to quickly diagnosis situations in any given moment."
