SeeTec Multi Solution Platform allows the integration of the SeeTec 5 video management software with third party security systems

SeeTec will launch its Multi Solution Platform as well as its latest software release 5.3.9 at IFSEC 2011

SeeTec, market leader for platform independent IP video management software in the German-speaking countries, will showcase its capable and flexible solutions on IFSEC Birmingham this year again. Together with the booth partners Advancis and Eyevis, the interaction of video, building management and visualisation will be presented on booth D145 in hall 4.

In practice, the video management system is mostly one part of a global security concept. Especially, the use of IP technology as a common basis has opened up new perspectives. That's why, this year, SeeTec will put an emphasis on the presentation of the SeeTec Multi Solution Platform which allows the integration of the SeeTec 5 video management software with third party security systems. If for instance, a person is not approved by a third party access control system, a voice communication channel (VoIP) to an intercom unit will be established by SeeTec and the live view of the corresponding surveillance camera will be visualised in the central control room. In addition, the process will be documented by an alarm recording in SeeTec and the event may be passed to a building management system. Thus, the interaction of several systems makes it possible to clarify the situation rapidly.

Kaj Svenningson, being responsible as chief officer expansion for opening up new markets for SeeTec, ascribes increasing importance to the integration of third party systems: "For the customer it has become the rule that video management software supports a wide range of different edge devices. However, comprehensive security concepts can only be realised by bringing several security applications together. For instance, solutions like the one described above are being installed with SeeTec for several schools and educational institutions in UK."

In addition, SeeTec will show the latest software release 5.3.9 with a set of improvements at IFSEC. For instance, the SeeTec WebClient allowing a fast and flexible access to one or several SeeTec installations has been extended by additional features like continuous PTZ control or alarm handling. Furthermore, SeeTec will, for the first time, show the SeeTec Counting Suite product line. These SeeTec extensions can automatically count persons or objects within the camera view and can be used for optimising escape routes or analysing the stream of visitors in retail environments.
