CEM Systems, in partnership with Approved Reseller ACTI-TECH, will exhibit innovative security solutions at IFSEC West Africa. CEM will display advanced IP card readers and controllers, including the new DESfire smart card reader and controller. CEM will also demonstrate the video integration capabilities of the powerful CEM AC2000 security management system. The exhibition takes place on 15th-16th February 2011 at the Eko Expo Centre, Lagos, Nigeria.

"IFSEC West Africa offers the ideal platform to showcase CEM's high quality and innovative products to the West Africa market" said Andrew Fulton, Business Development Director for CEM products. "On display will be CEM's new sPass DESfire smart card reader and encrypted two-door controller, as well as advanced CEM IP card readers, such as the S3020 portable wireless reader and the S610f fingerprint reader".

The S610f is a reader and controller in one device and offers increased security by providing three levels of identity checks- ID card authentication, PIN check, and fingerprint verification. Fingerprint templates are encrypted and stored within the CEM access control system and then distributed to the S610f reader's large internal database at the door. This ensures quick fingerprint verification and enables the reader to work offline from the server for zero system downtime.

The new CEM sPass DESfire reader is a highly encrypted contactless smart card reader that connects to CEM's new eDCM 350 two-door controller. The eDCM 350 uniquely offers an RS485 encrypted link between the reader and the controller, which combats against the known threat of wiegand signal sniffing. To complement this highly secure DESFire solution, CEM will also showcase its pre-personalised DESfire smart card featuring Triple DES (3DES) encrypted data storage - offering three high levels of encrypted security when a controller approach is required.

CEM will also exhibit the new version 6.2 software platform of the AC2000 security management system. AC2000 features a comprehensive list of security modules including ID badging, visitor management, access levels and integrated alarm/event monitoring to name but a few. At IFSEC West Africa, the AC2000 system will be fully integrated with American Dynamics new Hybrid Digital Video Recorder (HDVR) showing its powerful integration capabilities.

CEM Systems is a leading manufacturer of advanced access control solutions and has partnered with major ICT Company ACTI-TECH Ltd., who is accredited and approved to install CEM products in their region. ACTI-TECH recently, successfully installed the CEM AC2000 SE (Standard Edition) security management system to secure access to the prestigious Federal Ministry of Finance building in Abuja, Nigeria.

"CEM Systems provided an excellent solution and offered us great support throughout the Ministry of Finance Nigeria project", said Peter Madu, Managing Director of Acti-Tech.  "The fully integrated CEM AC2000 access control solution is ideal for sites where security really matters and will allow the Ministry of Finance to run effectively and efficiently with the highest of security measures."
