QNAP demonstrated its surveillance solutions at Stand S1-639C from January 19 to 21, 2014 at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre
QNAP demonstrated its VioStor CMS, VioStor NVR firmware functions and VioStor NVR series models at the event

At Intersec Dubai 2014, held from January 19 to 21, QNAP Security demonstrated its powerful Linux-embedded VioStor CMS (Central Management System), the latest VioStor NVR firmware functions (including smart recording, storage expansion solutions), and a full spectrum of VioStor NVR series models. Visitors experienced a comprehensive lineup – from home use to business-class – of QNAP surveillance solutions.

“The annual Intersec Dubai event is always an important opportunity for us to personally introduce our products and directly interact with our users,” said Alvin Wu, account manager of QNAP Security. “Regional users can enjoy a greater VioStor NVR experience with the inclusion of a Farsi version from VioStor v4.1.0 firmware and onwards.”

VioStor CMS (Central Management System)

The VioStor CMS, with the ability to manage up to 1,024 channels, is designed as a turnkey solution for centralised monitoring, device management and event management with multiple VioStor NVRs distributed at different locations. Especially suitable for large-scale surveillance deployment: administrators can enjoy an effortless system set-up and manage the CMS on any PC with the CMS client software installed.

VioStor NVR Firmware v4.1.1

The smart recording feature selects optimal video streams from IP cameras for different recording scenarios, effectively preventing constant storage consumption. Organisations can enjoy the benefits of lower storage costs and higher recording quality of alarm events for evidential purposes

VioStor NVR firmware v4.1 supports VioStor NVR storage expansion with QNAP Turbo NAS. By installing the StorageExpansion app (QPKG) on a Turbo NAS, administrators can connect their VioStor NVR with the Turbo NAS to flexibly enlarge the total storage capacity of the VioStor NVR. The increasing demands for Full HD video recording and long-term video retention result in greater storage needs, and this storage expansion solution is provided to completely fulfill them.

QNAP demonstrated its solutions at Stand S1-639C from January 19 to 21, 2014 at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
