Adams Rite, part of ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions, a UK division of ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in door opening solutions, has helped to provide solutions to a prestigious commercial property that required a higher level of security.

Project

Kestrel Aluminum Systems and Adams Rite supplied components to Fabrique Specialist Glazing Systems Ltd, who manufactured and installed bespoke doorsets that meet the PAS24 standard, offering ‘Enhanced Security’ to all exterior doors at the residence.

Adams Rite supplied its innovative Sentinel M commercial multi-point locks, incorporating the new 3 star security rated cylinder platform and automatic overhead concealed door closers to the project.

Maintained high level of security

Steve Hildrith, Managing Director at Fabrique Specialist Glazing Systems Ltd, said: “Kestrel Aluminum Systems provided us with training to ensure that our manufacturing process maintained the high level of security that doorsets needed for this project.

“We have worked with Adams Rite over many years on a variety of projects and have always found the brand’s products and team to be capable and competent. We will be using Sentinel M on future high security projects.”

Mike Cresswell, Technical Manager at Kestrel Aluminium Systems, said: “Working with Adams Rite allowed us to use ASSA ABLOY’s UKAS accredited test lab to ensure our components resisted all PAS24 attacks, without failure or opening.

“The testing included timed manual attack methods, hard and soft body impact tests, and mechanical load testing of 4500N, providing us with the confidence that we can adequately protect the occupants at this project.”

Tim Almond, Business Development Manager at Security Solutions, said: “Sentinel M is a versatile solution that can be used in a variety of environments including hospitals, leisure facilities and commercial projects.

“We are pleased that Sentinel M is able to provide some peace of mind to the residents in this building.”
