VIVOTEK’s CCTV cameras act as nurses at KCF
PFN installed a total of 87 VIVOTEK IP3122 network cameras in the hospital

Mission

Founded in 1971, Kahrizak Charity Foundation (KCF) in Tehran, capital of Iran, is a private, non-profit charity organisation offering free services to patients suffering from physical handicap, special illnesses, and elderly individuals with no financial resources. Many patients suffer from MS (Multiple Sclerosis) and amnesia and require full-time care. Multiple Sclerosis is an auto-immune disease that may cause sufferers to lose eyesight and experience nervous pain, often leading to a severely handicapped state. However, due to a limited budget, it is impossible for the hospital to arrange for one caregiver for each patient and instead have to take turns taking care of them.

Solution

In order to give full-time care to the patients, KCF decided to find a way to solve the problem by consulting with PFN Technology Co., a VIVOTEK distributor in Iran, providing the hospital with a cost-effective solution by constructing an IP surveillance system. They installed a total of 87 units of VIVOTEK IP3122 network cameras in the corridors of the hospital and patients' rooms. With the VIVOTEK's ST 3402 recording software serving as a control centre for remote monitoring, the VIVOTEK IP3122 network camera cost-effectively helped the hospital set up a complete surveillance system.

By making use of VIVOTEK's IP-based surveillance system, caregivers can monitor up to 16 patients at the same time

"The IP-based surveillance system provides the most efficient way for nurses to control the real-time conditions of those who need full-time care," said Parissa Najafi, Commercial Manager of PFN Tech Co. "The doctors or nurses in the control centre can quickly be aware of the situation through a web browser so as to give the patients immediate care."

By making use of an IP-based surveillance system, caregivers can monitor up to 16 patients at the same time without having to hire additional caregivers to patrol, thus helping save time and money. Moreover, in the future, patients' families may be able to see their loved ones anytime, anywhere by accessing hospital cameras through their web browser.

With VIVOTEK's reliable, high-tech IP surveillance system, KCF is on the leading forefront of adopting modernised hospital technology.
