Partnership will bring together ASV’s maritime video analytics software editor with IP Security Center PSIM integrated situation management solution

Partnership will offer real-time situational awareness with maritime detection & tracking data

CNL Software, a world leader in Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software, has entered into a technology partnership with Automatic Sea Vision (ASV), developers of the first video content analytics (VCA) software editor 100% dedicated to the marine environment.

Founded in 2001, ASV develops innovative software solutions designed to automate maritime surveillance using a network of cameras; managing the entire functional chain from the watch to a first non-lethal response.

Real-time situational awareness

Formalised under the CNL Software Technology Alliance Program (TAP), the partnership will bring together ASV’s maritime video analytics software editor with IP Security Center PSIM integrated situation management solution: offering real-time situational awareness with maritime detection and tracking data analysed in conjunction with data from other connected security systems such as CCTV, access control, radar, GPS tracking and GIS mapping.

Port and maritime security by its very nature, requires those responsible to have complete situational awareness at all times; from clamping down on the trafficking of contraband, illegal immigrants and stolen goods to assessing the threats of possible terrorist attacks and dealing with environmental disasters. In aggregating and analysing intelligence data provided from the ASV software and managed by IP Security Center PSIM, organisations can act immediately on security escalations, plan according to trends and continuously improve security and life safety operations.

Seamless real-time access to video analytics

"More maritime operations are turning to infrared or visible cameras to provide security to ships, installations, platforms and infrastructures"

“More maritime operations are turning to infrared or visible cameras to provide security to ships, installations, platforms and infrastructures. How that information is processed once it reaches the control room, is equally important”, says Philippe Waquet, CEO at Automatic Sea Vision. “Our ASV software along with IP Security Center will enable seamless real-time access to video analytics and information gathered from other security systems; greatly increasing the preparedness to respond to potential threats.”

“As aviation security has tightened, those intent on criminal activity and terrorism are looking to more accessible targets and by its nature maritime security has a softer perimeter than an airport”, explains James Condron, VP Sales - CNL Software. “CNL Software works with organisations across the globe that are involved with passenger transportation and cargo shipping as well as policing transport networks and homeland security. As such, we understand the increasing importance of hardening nautical perimeters and will continue to work with technologies such as ASV to offer the most innovative, effective security and safety solutions for our maritime customers.”
