Cassidian to create a Sales and International Operations organisation to strengthen its internationalisation

Bernhard Gerwert, CEO of Cassidian presented recently the way forward for the development of Cassidian and appointed further members of the division's new management team.

The principles of Cassidian's structure remain the same with an integrated division split into an operational dimension with clear focus on project delivery and operational performance and a country dimension with focus on customer management and proximity. Bernhard Gerwert stated: "The goal of this planned new division setup is mainly to reduce complexity, developing Cassidian towards clear accountability and empowerment in order to enable a better reactivity towards market challenges."

In order to strengthen the company's internationalisation a "Sales and International Operations" organisation will be created. Christian Scherer (50), former Head of Strategy within Airbus will lead this organisation.

As a home country and strong pillar within the Cassidian strategy France will be managed separately by Jean-Marc Nasr (50), who will also be responsible for the Cassidian Cyber Security business and keep his former responsibility for Secure Communication Solutions.

To lead and develop Cassidian's product portfolio a "Program" organisation will be created managing Cassidian Business Lines. The Head of Programs remains to be appointed.

To drive innovation and ensure efficient development, production and roll out of products worldwide a "Chief Operations Officer" Organisation will be created, leading Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Management and further operative functions. The new Division COO is Pilar Albiac-Murillo (59), who previously was in charge of Quality and Lean Management within Airbus. Pilar Albiac-Murillo will also be responsible for the country organization in Spain.
