Optelecom-NKF, Inc., manufacturer of Siqura® advanced video surveillance solutions, announced its intention to participate in the Security Essen 2010 trade show in Essen, Germany.

As visitors traverse the various booths at Security Essen 2010 this year, they might very well notice that Optelecom-NKF's Siqura surveillance solutions display something unique among the diverse exhibits. Optelecom-NKF will show more than just quality equipment; it will reveal its capacity to develop project-specific solutions for even the most demanding surveillance situation.

Traffic, Transit, and Critical Infrastructure

With over 35 years of experience, Optelecom-NKF provides global surveillance solutions for three markets: Traffic, Transit, and Critical Infrastructure. At Security Essen 2010, Optelecom-NKF will show how its Siqura systems provide proven and customised IP solutions for each individual market.

Innovative IP PTZ dome with fibre optic interface

Optelecom-NKF will offer a preview of its Siqura PTZ IP dome camera that includes a flexible SFP interface for directly connecting to a fibre optic network, 35x zoom, and 24 user-defined mosaic privacy masks.

High-definition, ONVIF-compliant camera series

Optelecom-NKF will show its complete range of ONVIF-compliant, 1080p/720p high-definition cameras.

The most efficient and compact eight-channel encoder on the market

The new eight-channel, low-power Siqura S-68 E encoder will give visitors a glimpse of the most energy-efficient and compact H.264 video streaming solution currently available.

Video content analysis for system and surveillance

TrafficServer is the first video server ever to be integrated with automatic incident detection technology

Optelecom-NKF will put its two new video content analysis (VCA) applications on display. Each of these VCA programmes has recently been integrated into the Siqura S-64 E video server and checks the status or well-being of the attached camera by monitoring the camera's position and image quality. When something is amiss, the applications trigger an alarm to promptly alert operators, thereby guaranteeing quality video material while at the same time reducing unnecessary maintenance costs.

The first AID video server

The now well-known and award-winning Siqura TrafficServer™ will be on exhibit. This innovative product is the first video server ever to be integrated with automatic incident detection (AID) technology.

This array of examples demonstrates Optelecom-NKF's ability to fulfil the needs both of its customers as well as the industry. It also shows how Siqura solutions are essentially dynamic and can be tailored to any video networking need. Consequently, the Optelecom-NKF booth (hall 2, booth 316) may prove to be the best place for an open and lively conversation about how best to customise a video surveillance network for a specific situation.

"At Optelecom-NKF, we create innovative and reliable video surveillance solutions according to our customers' needs," explains Fabien Haubert, Optelecom-NKF's Senior Sales Director for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). "We are flexible and we work closely with customers on-site to design and deploy the optimal system. This is something that really sets us apart. We are eager to show attendees at Security Essen 2010 just how flexible we are and how hassle-free life can be when you are working with Siqura surveillance solutions."
