PSIA has seen significant growth in membership from the Asia region and expects this to continue as more of these companies.
PSIA's Executive Director Dave Bunzel stressed on the rising trends of market shifting towards IP products

The Physical Security Interoperability Alliance presented on the need for standards to attendees at China Security 2010. One of the important messages, delivered by the organisation's executive director Dave Bunzel, is that the market is shifting rapidly to IP products, which offer significant benefits in sharing critical security information.

PSIA, with its systems approach to interoperability, is able to stage the industry for the integration of cameras, VMS, analytics, storage, access control and intrusion devices. Security China 2010 is one of the most important security shows in the world, with more than 150,000 visitors attending and more than 1,000 exhibitors from around the globe.

"Being able to present this information at Security China 2010 suggests global recognition of the need for interoperability standards," said Bunzel. "China will not only be a significant consumer of security products but also an important manufacturing base for the industry."

"Providing perspective on standards development will allow Chinese manufacturers to create products that will not only support the domestic market but export markets."

PSIA has seen significant growth in membership from the Asia region and expects this to continue as more of these companies develop global strategies and conform to international standards.
