Dedicated Micros - part of AD Group - has secured the coveted Best Security Manufacturer Award in the prestigious Security Excellence Awards.  The results were announced at a gala dinner held on 11 October at the Hilton Hotel, Park Lane, London in front of hundreds of security professionals.

It was the company's innovative approach to CCTV, which proved decisive in the judges' decision to select Dedicated Micros as the ultimate winner from a shortlist, which included Axis Communications, Panasonic, Pelco, Risco Group and TAC Satchwell.  TransVu Media - the mobile system which combines security with the potential to display advertising - was singled out for particular praise in the announcement.

Said Andrew Finn, Managing Director of Dedicated Micros: "We are delighted to receive the Best Security Manufacturer Award, reflecting as it does Dedicated Micros position at the forefront of the industry; for nearly a quarter of a century now our technological developments have formed many of the building blocks of CCTV."

"This ongoing commitment to deliver leading edge solutions has been much in evidence in the last 12 months with new products - which meet the real needs of customers - brought to market at an unprecedented rate.  These include MultiMode Recording capability for the new Digital Sprite 2, NetVu Console which recognises the need for a practical - and capable - way of bridging the gap between the security and IT world, and the award-winning mobile CCTV recorder, TransVu Media."
