Dedicated Micros' Closed IPTV in focus at the Security Excellence Awards
The sponsorship deal will see Dedicated Micros' Closed IPTV branding prominently displayed at the Awards
CCTV specialist Dedicated Micros - part of AD Group - announces that it is promoting its patent-pending Closed IPTV capability through high profile sponsorship of the 'Security Consultant of the Year' category at the prestigious Security Excellence Awards event being held in London later this week.

The sponsorship deal will see Dedicated Micros' Closed IPTV branding prominently displayed during the awards ceremony, helping to raise awareness of its Closed IPTV, IP video product solution, amongst the more than 900 attendees at the black tie event.

Taking its cue from the simplicity and security of a traditional CCTV installation, Closed IPTV uses a completely deterministic set-up which automatically maps the IP camera to the port on DM's Layer 3 Enhanced CCTV Switch and in turn, the corresponding camera input number on the hybrid DVR/NVR. This approach, combined with DM's unique implementation of secure modes, means that when it comes to IP video, complete security of the IP endpoints can be achieved with a single click preventing hacking attacks. Dedicated Micros is currently rolling out Closed IPTV in a number of product lines with one of the first being a version of the hybrid SD Advanced DVR/NVR.

The Security Consultant of the Year category of the Security Excellence Awards, which Dedicated Micros is actively supporting, has been created to recognise an individual or consultancy practice who demonstrates excellence in security consultancy above and beyond their peers, including leadership/participation in the wider security community.

Pauline Norstrom, Director of Worldwide Marketing at Dedicated Micros said: "The Security Excellence Awards - as the UK's premier awards programme for the industry - is, we believe, the ideal forum to highlight Closed IPTV with its IP security and operational benefits to an influential cross section of the security industry from installers and end-users to consultants. In addition, we have a long track record in sponsoring the Security Consultant of the Year Award and feel that it is important to recognise the pivotal role that consultants play, at a strategic level, ensuring that security solutions are fit for purpose to meet the operational and cost of ownership requirements of specific projects, including at the demanding enterprise level."

The Security Excellence Awards ceremony is being held this Thursday evening (21 October) at the Hilton Hotel, Park Lane, London.
