Ben Collins with Paul O'Grady (wearing an AD Group race suit) |
The suit worn by Paul O'Grady was used by Ben Collins during his recent stint driving in the Le Mans Series of endurance races. Its distinctive red, white and blue, matches the racing livery of the AD Group owned and sponsored Number 25 Lola HPD race car in which Ben, helped by his co-drivers - AD Group's CEO Mike Newton and fast-paced Tommy Erdos, lifted the coveted Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2) Championship for the RML AD Group team.
Said Pauline Norstrom, Board Director at AD Group who oversees the company's marketing and motor sport activities: "It was delightful to switch on my TV on Friday night to see Paul O'Grady in an AD Group race suit with the AD, RemGuard, TransVu and Dedicated Micros logos all readily visible on-screen through the driver cam and when Paul was filmed walking to and from the car on the Brands Hatch track! Having Ben as the new driver on the team this season has certainly helped to raise our profile with all the attention surrounding his autobiography - 'The Man in the White Suit' - and the High Court battle and subsequent TV appearances. This isn't the first time that AD Group Company branding has made it on to National television thanks to Ben, earlier this month he featured in a trailer for Fifth Gear wearing a helmet with Dedicated Micros emblazoned on the front."
A trailer for the segment from Paul O'Grady 'Live' featuring Paul and Ben Collins can be viewed here. The full piece is also on YouTube (it starts from eight minutes in).
