All the sensors are networked and integrated to Senstar’s StarNeT™ Security Management System software
The projects total more than USD 2.4 million for Senstar's Latin American subsidiary

Senstar Corporation recently announced that it has begun delivery of integrated perimeter intrusion detection systems (PIDS) for two high security prisons in Latin America. The projects total more than $2.4 million USD for Senstar’s Latin American subsidiary, and follow the March 5th announcement of two additional high security prison projects in Latin America of similar value.

The core perimeter security solution for all these prisons is built around Senstar’s sensors:

  • IntelliFIBER™ fence mounted fibre-optic sensors;
  • OmniTrax® buried cable as a covert detection layer between fences, and;
  • μltraWave™ microwave sensor as a virtual fence.

All the sensors are networked and integrated to Senstar’s StarNeT™ Security Management System (SMS) software, which serves as a local command and control centre, which feeds into a third party larger scope Physical Security Information Management System (PSIM).

Having won 4 high security prison contracts in 2012, Senstar continues to see growth in Latin America, especially in high end and multilayer integrated security applications” said Brian Rich, President of Senstar. “With the world’s largest portfolio of PIDS products and technologies and the Company’s long history of successful installations around the globe, we are well positioned to further capitalise on such new opportunities in emerging markets.”
