STANLEY Security, a leading provider of integrated intelligent security solutions, announces the release of a powerful addition to its Sonitrol alarm verification product portfolio—SonaVision™ VIGIL Video Verification.

A new standard in alarm verification, SonaVision now offers enhanced capabilities, creating a powerful combination by adding integrated video verification to Sonitrol’s proven audio verification technology, pioneered by the organisation more than five decades ago. Unique relay infrastructure provided by 3xLOGIC, Sonitrol’s technology partner, makes SonaVision easy to install and ensures system reliability.

Remote monitoring

“SonaVision offers our customers the peace of mind they want for their businesses by ensuring employee and facility security, both indoors and outdoors.  Now, with both audio and video verification, the central station operator has the ability to have ears and eyes on our customers’ facilities, further strengthening early detection and eliminating important time wasted watching unnecessary footage or contacting a user call list,” said Kasderic Williams, Product Manager – Intrusion & Video at 3xLOGIC. “Providing detailed information to responding officers -- at both the time of alarm and in real-time throughout the incident -- is critical to a verified response.  With the ability to have someone located remotely to see and hear the pre- and post-result of an intrusion, Sonitrol continues to set the standard for reducing false alarms, and maintains its global leadership in perpetrator apprehensions.”

Municipalities across the United States are increasingly cracking down on the ongoing problem of false alarms. As these local governments continue to find that levying fines and providing lengthier response times for non-verified alarms is not the ultimate solution, many now require verified alarms to cut down on the growing rate of false alarms.

Video surveillance made easy

In addition to curbing the potential for false alarms, SonaVision offers another important advantage:  ensuring that operators monitor the correct video at the correct time. Too often, security staff personnel spend hours watching unrelated video. SonaVision pushes only relevant video to the central station to effectively monitor and take potential action.

The Sonitrol Mobile App also provides a direct and easy-to-use connection to the customer for video surveillance and video verification. Both central station operators and customers can now view live and playback video, facilitating the appropriate level of communication between central station operators and security system users.

With the new line of Sonitrol cameras and VIGIL appliances, coupled with a new performance warranty program for customers who utilise both the audio and video verification solution, customers now have a complete and scalable verification solution.
