Pauline Norstrom, the Worldwide Head of Marketing at Dedicated Micros - part of AD Group -has received the 2006 PSI (Professional Security Installer) Premier Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Security Industry.
The award was given to Pauline in recognition of her dedication to the creation of effective CCTV standards, in particular as Vice Chairman of the BSIA's CCTV Section - since 2004 - and by heading-up TC/10 a technical committee within the BSIA which looks specifically at CCTV best practice.
Through TC/10 she has been actively involved in the development of a new Code of Practice for Digital Video Evidence and consultations regarding this issue on both sides of the Atlantic, including with the SIA and FBI in the US and the Home Office in the UK. Pauline is also a regular speaker and writer on CCTV issues ranging from BS8418 to the implications of Chip and PIN.
Said Pauline Norstrom: "I am delighted to have been presented with the award and feel that this accolade is also a reflection of the hard work and commitment shown by all of my colleagues who serve on TC/10 and the BSIA's CCTV Section Committee. As an industry it is imperative that we continue to ensure that there are standards in place which cover all aspects of CCTV - installation, operation and maintenance - so the true potential of this security technology is not undermined."
