The challenge

The Georgian Town Palace located in the heart of the City of London plays host to ceremonial banquets and international dignitaries visiting the capital.

As a high profile venue, its security facilities need to be of the highest standard. Therefore, the managing authority for Mansion House - the Corporation of London - specified three Digital Sprite digital multiplex recorders. Installers, Classic Security Solutions has implemented the upgrade, along with the installation of 12 cameras.

The solution

Ray Anderson, Managing Director of Classic Security Solutions, says: "A major benefit of installing Digital Sprite in Mansion House is simplicity of use.

"The operator is able to email images or store them on a local PC. The system is also networked to a separate viewing suite where images can be viewed in private."

Enhanced networking facilities are being considered for a later stage of the security upgrade programme and the Corporation of London is currently considering Digital Sprite for several other sites.

Pauline Norstrom, Dedicated Micros' Marketing Manager, says: "Ease and flexibility of use is ensuring that our Digital Sprite digital multiplex recorders are being specified in some of the most high profile locations."
