Retainagroup combat car theft with the help of DED
The Zebra P330i has provided the company with an economical means of supplying customers with a contact card
Retainagroup has selected the Zebra P330i printing machine from DED, to produce customer cards for their marking, registration and verification security system.

Kent based Retainagroup has been working to combat theft for over 26 years. The recent purchase of the Zebra P330i has provided the company with an economical means of supplying customers with a contact card for the 24/7 secure register on which details of their vehicles are recorded. Cards are printed with the telephone number and web address of Retainagroup's International Security Register - and with the unique code that is etched into the windows of each protected vehicle - making it quick and easy for owners to report a theft or update vehicle details.

Visibly and permanently marking a vehicle's windows and keeping information up to date on the International Security Register makes a great difference to car crime statistics. Marked and registered vehicles are 55% less likely to be stolen and 50% more likely to be recovered.

On choosing the Zebra P330i and CardFive card design software, Production Manager Carol Still commented, "We chose this printer and software due to the ease of use." The most powerful, reliable and flexible card printer in its class, the Zebra P330i comes with a USB interface and Ethernet option. The P330i is capable of printing cards of between 0.20mm and 1.50mm thick. Print speed for a full colour, edge to edge, card is less than 25 seconds and for monochrome card is just 4 seconds. A range of card encoding options is available including a three-track magnetic stripe encoder, contact smart card station, Mifare or HID proximity card encoders.

Retainagroup also use the P330i to print ‘lifetime-registered' key and luggage tags, vehicle window stickers, and customer contact cards for their marking and registration packs for protecting a wide range of valuable business and household products.
