VMC-1
The VMC-1 "Eagle" wins the Security & Safety Award at Sicurezza 2008
Sicurezza 2008, which took place from November 25 to 28 in Milan, Italy, was a thorough success for Dallmeier. The number of visitors was extraordinary and the VMC-1 "Eagle" won the Security & Safety Award which was presented at the occasion of the exhibition.

The VMC-1 "Eagle" managed to prevail over a large starting field in the qualification stage. In the final round the product eventually received the "Top Selection" Award in the "Friendly Product" category. With its decision the jury rewarded the interplay of outstanding industrial design and exemplary user-friendliness.

Oliviero Tronconi, president of the Security Award jury and professor in the B.E.S.T. department (Department of Building, Environment, Sciences and Technologies) at the Politecnico di Milano University explains the jury's decision: "The characteristics that we found most impressive with the VMC-1 "Eagle" were its ease of use and the ergonomic design that make it an effective man-machine interface."

The Video Management Centre VMC-1 "Eagle" is modular in design and thus flexible. The individual components, whether it's the keypad, the joystick or the jog-shuttle, may be positioned according to individual preferences and are therefore equally well suited for both left- and right-handed operators. So, the user is free to choose. Moreover it is also possible to use the individual components as freely programmable stand-alone devices.

However, the award was not the only reason for the thorough success at Sicurezza 2008. Dallmeier's participation in the exhibition with an own stand was a premiere. The team of Dallmeier Italia was glad to welcome the numerous visitors. "This clearly shows that the Dallmeier brand already has a high status in the Italian market. That is why many visitors come with concrete ideas and pre-formulated enquiries," as Andrea Bigliardi, Managing Director Dallmeier Italia, summed the show.

Another highlight at the Dallmeier stand were the DesignCams. Those are cameras whose design is created according to the individual wishes of the customers. The customer has the choice as to whether he wants the cameras to discreetly adjust to their surrounding or if he wants to turn them into eye-catchers through a classy design. "Particularly in Italy, where design and aesthetics play an important role, we meet the taste of the customers with our DesignCams. They show that high-tech and design are no longer a contradiction and that video security technology can look really sophisticated!" says Andrea Bigliardi.
