The picture of success was replicated in CTX's two co-located sister events that were staged concurrently
Event have seen increase in overseas visitors from the paramilitary and law enforcement sectors

Records were broken at this year's Counter Terror Expo (CTX) exhibition and conference as this pivotal event for the security and counter terror sectors demonstrated its international appeal. Held at Olympia London on 21 and 22 April, CTX attracted VIP visitors from over 30 countries, a 30% increase on the 2014 show.

A high profile conference

The World Terror Congress, one of the high profile conference streams staged at CTX, made the news around the world, as keynote speakers including Mark Rowley, Head of Specialist Operations and Assistant Commissioner, Metropolitan Police and Jamie Shea, NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Emerging Security Challenges, warned about new terrorist threats.  Mark Rowley described how ISIS is seeking to find recruits among 'the vulnerable, people with violent backgrounds, very young people and those with mental health issues".

On the exhibition floor, a record number of exhibitors rebooked for next year's event, delighted with the numbers of quality visitors coming onto their stands.

Clarion Defence & Security, MD comments

In a significant new development, the 2016 event will be entitled 'Security & Counter Terror Expo'. Tim Porter, Managing Director, Clarion Defence & Security, said "The evolution of the show's title is in response to its unique position. The event now brings together the broad spectrum of stakeholders concerned with security and countering terrorism in both the public and private sectors. The big increase we have seen in overseas visitors from the paramilitary and law enforcement sectors, as well as security, is a particularly important development".

CTX's success

The picture of success was replicated in CTX's two co-located sister events that were staged concurrently. Ambition, the exhibition and conference dedicated to Emergency, Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) and Forensics, the international exhibition and conference for the forensic sector and its supply chain, both set records in terms of VIP speakers and visitor attendance.
