Counter Terror Expo is an international gathering for leading experts from Government and the Intelligence and Security Services

In 2013, 9254 people attended Counter Terror Expo, a 9% increase on the previous year

Clarion Events, the largest independent event organiser in the UK, has appointed Singleton PR to handle the PR for Counter Terror Expo 2014 which is being held on 29th and 30th April next year at Olympia, London.

Counter Terror Expo was established to deliver a unique and secure environment in which professionals within the critically important counter terrorism and security arena could come together to share experience and gain knowledge. In the last 5 years, the event has grown dramatically to become a critically important, international gathering for leading experts from Government, the Military, the Intelligence and Security Services, the Police and the Emergency Services as well as the private sector.

In 2013, some 9254 people attended Counter Terror Expo, a 9% increase on the previous year. 91% of visitors met their objectives, 84% had direct purchasing power or influence over the purchasing process and 73% had projects planned for the following 12 months. In total, 82 countries were represented at the event.

As Philip Hunter, Event Director, Clarion Defence & Security commented:

“Counter Terror Expo has once again proven its unique ability to provide strategies and solutions to counter today’s evolving security threats. The increase in attendance numbers in 2013 has established the event as a leading counter terrorism and security show worldwide. Companies who are interested in meeting a record number of counter terrorism, law enforcement, military and corporate security end users should discuss how Counter Terror Expo 2014 can form part of their marketing plan with a member of the event team”

Building on features introduced in previous years – including the IEDD Demo Area, the Maritime Security & Anti-Piracy Zone and the Armoured & Support Vehicle Zone – a number of new zones are being introduced for this year’s event to highlight the latest responses to specific threats.

Secure communications and cyber terrorism zone

This zone will showcase all the latest technology that has been adopted by Homeland Security and Law Enforcement teams to protect nations, organisations and the public together with a range of new products designed to ensure the coherent integration of cyber terrorism prevention activities.

Unmanned vehicles zone

Reflecting the increasing use of unmanned vehicles for intelligence gathering and to achieve safe and cost-effective access to remote locations and hazardous areas, this zone will feature displays from a range of both new and established manufacturers of ground and air vehicles.

Border security zone and access control zone

From new physical infrastructure components to the latest biometric, screening and scanning technologies, the latest products for securing international borders, facilities and points of entry will be showcased in this zone.

Integrated security in action

The integration of technology allows for a more complete picture of security breaches, accidents and disturbances, enabling law enforcement agencies to modify their responses to suit different security needs. This zone will feature the latest range of CCTV, access control, perimeter protection and control room security technology as well as providing an interactive educational and technology showcase demonstrating integrated security platforms in action.
