A key theme for Security Technology Live will be helping the UK installer community as it faces the challenges of adapting to an increasingly domestic and commercial security
Security Technology Live fills the gap in the national calendar created by IFSEC's shift to the south east

Clarion Events, one of the leading players in the global security and defence event market, announce the launch of a new installer and channel facing event, Security Technology Live, which will be held at the NEC, Birmingham in May 2014.

Security Technology Live has been developed through extensive consultation with exhibitors, associations and other stakeholders which has identified demand for a national show at which the security industry can support, service and extend its national networks of 3rd party security installers, integrators, resellers and distributors.

“We have been working on the idea of a national, overtly channel focused show for the security installer and integrator market for quite some time, to complement the end user focused events in our existing portfolio such as Counter Terror Expo” said Clarion Events Managing Director Tim Porter.

“However now that UBM (the organisers of IFSEC) have decided to move the IFSEC event away from its traditional home in the NEC and relocate it London’s ExCeL next year we believe that the time is now absolutely right to bring Security Technology Live to the market in 2014 to fill the gap in the national calendar created by IFSEC’s shift to the south east”

Clarion’s portfolio in the security sector includes the biannual DSEI Defence & Security show, as well as Counter Terror Expo (CTX) which has been growing strongly and delivering a substantial audience of  high-end private and public sector CNI and integrated security buyers to London’s Olympia since its launch 5 years ago. “London is a great location for our CTX event, which delivers an audience of high end corporate, government, policing and security sector visitors. Everyone we have spoken to across the industry however agrees that the NEC is the best location for a show aimed at the domestic and commercial security installer and integrator community” said Porter.

Security Technology Live will be held in Halls 6, 7 and 8 at the NEC and will take place over 3 days from 13-15 May 2014 and annually thereafter. Exhibitor pricing will be lower than at recent editions of IFSEC, and the event will benefit from a very clear focus on the UK and European distributor, reseller and installer communities.

A key theme for Security Technology Live will be helping the UK installer community as it faces the challenges of adapting to an increasingly sophisticated domestic and commercial security environment, where end users are now requiring and specifying ever-more advanced solutions and technology.

Security Technology Live will feature a host of interactive feature areas, together with an extensive free educational programme designed to educate those responsible for installing and supporting the latest generation of electronic, digital and IP-based integrated solutions as their adoption trickles down to all levels of the market over the next decade and beyond.
