Companies are providing security solutions, manufacturing and redesigning vehicles to make them suitable for the constant changes in the world’s threat levels
The Expo will feature a range of the most advanced up-armouring, upgrade and retro-fit options and accessories

From the protection of individuals – whether VIPs or NGO personnel – to SWAT operations, armoured vehicles have a key role to play in the defence against terrorism. The nature of the threat is constantly evolving, however, and so too are the requirements placed on the manufacturers of armoured vehicles. At Counter Terror Expo 2014, visitors will be able to view and experience the very latest security solutions from the world’s leading armoured vehicle suppliers within a dedicated Armoured and Support Vehicle area.

Bringing together buyers and suppliers from across the world, Counter Terror Expo, now in its 6th edition, is the premier international event of its kind. Jim Clarke, Director of Special Projects for Millbrook, one of the exhibitors, commented: “[We] exhibited at the Counter Terror Expo for the first time in 2013 and found it to be a very successful event, with lots of useful connections made. We found the calibre and focus of delegates in attendance at Counter Terror to be of the right level, in terms of subject matter and their position as key decision makers”.

Millbrook, a company with extensive experience in the design, test, development and manufacture of discreet and covert OEM platforms, will be showcasing a discreetly armoured vehicle that is fully integrated with a selection of C4ISTAR systems.

In addition to new vehicles being revealed for the first time, the Expo will also feature a range of the most advanced up-armouring, upgrade and retro-fit options and accessories. As Guerman Goutorov, Chairman of Streit Group, another key exhibitor, said: “We are providing security solutions, manufacturing and redesigning our vehicles to make them suitable for the constant changes in the world’s threat levels”. Streit Group’s main focus for Counter Terror Expo will be on its newest models for VIP and Homeland Security markets as well as the launch of its Armored Riot Control Vehicles.

Amongst the other exhibitors showcasing their latest products and solutions in the Armoured and Support Vehicle area will be Digital RF, Land Rover, OVIK and Tyron.

David Thompson, Event Manager, Clarion Defence & Security, commented: “The reputation that Counter Terror Expo has built up since its inception has led to many of the world’s leading companies in the counter-terrorism and security arena wanting to exhibit. This is particularly the case in the field of vehicle armouring which is why we have a dedicated Armoured and Support Vehicle area. This will be a must-visit area for anyone with responsibility for the protection of personnel at risk of attack from terrorist and other groups with intent to cause harm”.
