Downes joins sales team with responsibility for customer support for installers & distributers

Eaton has announced the appointment of Graeme Downes within its UK security sales team. Downes will take on the role of Area Account Manager for the South East of England.

The role sees Downes joining the sales team with responsibility for customer support for the company’s installers and distributors and to help strengthen its UK market share within the commercial and residential sectors.

Strong sales experience

Downes has amassed 12 years’ strong sales experience working with brands such as Lyreco and Newey & Eyre. During his time at Newey & Eyre Graeme picked up the Sales Executive of the Year Award for his account management and business development.

Downes commented:  ‘I am very excited about joining Eaton and positively contributing to the business, meeting up with customers to get a good understanding of their needs, both in terms of products and training.  By working as a team, we hope to capitalise on new opportunities to drive expansion across the education, government, infrastructure and residential – high-end market places.’

Real asset to the team

Commenting on Graeme’s new appointment, Trystan Bevan, Security Sales Manager of Eaton EMEA, said, ‘Graeme has a proven track record as a very successful sales professional, and his commercial acumen and customer focus lead me to believe he will be a real asset to the team.  Graeme will play a key role building and retaining strong relationships with our customers and distributors.’
