Conducted at Eaton security business headquarters in Gloucestershire the course explains about property’s security requirements
Attendees to the How Intruder Alarms Work CPD course will have a chance to win a dinner experience with England football heroes

Eaton’s security business has announced details of a fantastic competition that will give nine lucky winners a chance to meet some of England’s 1966 World Cup winning heroes and enjoy a three-course meal with Sir Geoff Hurst.

Any organisation that books the How Intruder Alarms Work continuing professional development (CPD) course before 16th May will be able to enter its delegates into the prize draw for the competition. Winners will not only get to dine with Sir Geoff – the only man to score a hat-trick in a World Cup final – they will also have the opportunity to meet his teammates Martin Peters MBE, Gordon Banks OBE and George Cohen MBE at a private VIP champagne reception. There will be autograph and photo opportunities, as well as the chance to meet other sports stars and personalities who will be in attendance.

The prize will take place at the prestigious Park Lane Hotel, London, on the 5th June at the World Cup Sporting Lunch event hosted by The National Sporting Club. The event is in honour of England’s 4-2 victory in the World Cup Final at Wembley against West Germany and will mark the run up to the FIFA World Cup 2014, which kicks off the following week.

As an industry leader, Eaton’s security business is dedicated to knowledge provision and the How Intruder Alarms Work CPD course explains the latest available technology and standards related developments in intruder detection, and outlines the key considerations that should be addressed when reviewing a property’s security requirements. The implications of PD 6662:2010 and BS 8243:2010 standards are also outlined, including their relevance to hardware specification and installation, and the course examines why making the right choices is the only way to provide secure and effective protection.

Free to attend, this information rich and thought provoking RIBA/CIBSE approved CPD course has been put together in conjunction with subject matter experts from across the business. It takes just an hour to complete and can take place on a customer’s premises or at Eaton security business’s headquarters in Gloucestershire.

“By the time the event takes place in June excitement about the World Cup will be at fever pitch, so for football fans the chance to relive England’s proudest football moment with Sir Geoff Hurst should not be missed,” said Matthew Phelps, managing director of Eaton’s security business. “Book a CPD course before 16th May to enter the draw and you will get the benefit of an excellent introduction to alarm systems and an overview of our industry leading products.”
