On-Net Surveillance Systems, Inc. (OnSSI), the market leader in non-proprietary, open architecture IP-based video surveillance software solutions
Major manufacturers' agreements with OnSSI to deliver enhanced solutions

On-Net Surveillance Systems, Inc. (OnSSI), the market leader in non-proprietary, open architecture IP-based video surveillance software solutions, announces the formation of a number of strategic partnerships that integrate a range of best of breed solutions to deliver even greater value to customers.

"Our open architecture umbrella enables us to partner with the leading technology providers in the business," said Mulli Diamant, Vice President of Sales, OnSSI. "By bringing together these diverse capabilities, OnSSI is able to offer end-users a much wider range of solutions to meet the myriad emerging applications for integrated security and video surveillance."

OnSSI is announcing partnerships with industry leaders including Sun, Pelco, Software House, Defentect and BriefCam.

OnSSI has teamed up with Defentect to bring integrated IP Radiation Detection and IP Video Surveillance to vertical markets including healthcare, waste management, municipal first responders and transportation. By tying these two technologies together, first responders are supplied better information as they take action to mitigate a radiation event.

"The Ocularis and DM3 platforms are both designed to be open solutions," said James C. Ackerly, CEO, Defentect. "Customers benefit by adding radiation awareness to their IP surveillance networks, with notification of the specific circumstances of an event to help them take action."

The partnership between Pelco and OnSSI encompasses the integration of numerous IP cameras and encoders. In addition, the companies are collaborating on the integration of several Pelco DVR models under Ocularis.

"We are actively supporting our open architecture message by continuing to support third-party software integration," says Terry Carver, Pelco API Business Development Manager. "We are committed to working with OnSSI and other software management developers using our API's."

OnSSI is working with BriefCam to develop an integrated solution, powered by the BriefCam Video Synopsis™ engine and using the Ocularis SDK as the source of video images, to deliver a summary of video content into the Ocularis user interface. This will enable compression of video activity into a very short timeframe for faster identification of key events.

"Ocularis users can now expect a new level of efficiency," said Gideon Ben-Zvi, President of BriefCam. "Identifying suspicious incidents and critical details out of hours of recorded video footage will no longer need to be a time consuming task. Furthermore, the operation of the video synopsis functionality is very simple. An intuitive user interface enables selecting such parameters as object density and speed, and the summary is instantly displayed. BriefCam is thrilled to be working closely with OnSSI on this integration, bringing Ocularis customers the rapid results they need."

OnSSI and Sun have partnered to provide an economical solution that utilizes Sun's Open Storage products and approac and OnSSI's comprehensive IP video surveillance control and management software to bridge the gap between legacy analogue equipment and new all-digital solutions that leverage the full power of IP-based networking.

"We are actively supporting our open architecture message by continuing to support third-party software integration," says Terry Carver, Pelco API Business Development Manager

"We are delighted to have OnSSI as a partner for the Sun Open Video Surveillance™ solution. OnSSI's video surveillance control and management software is well positioned to take advantage of Sun's unique tiered archival storage for video surveillance, thus creating an environment to capture, manage and archive video at the petabyte level," said Darrell Jordan-Smith, Vice President, Communications & Media Practice, Sun Microsystems.

Software House delivers industry leading access control while empowering customers to converge their physical and logical security systems. The integration with OnSSI's Ocularis will provide additional value to customers.

OnSSI's Ocularis IP Video Management solution is an open-architecture, non-proprietary, video-centric software platform that allows viewing, management and recording of video from an unlimited number of IP and non-IP video surveillance cameras. Ocularis also allows for video storage management and can correlate and fuse video and non-video events and alerts resulting in automatic video delivery to subscribers of interest.
