Axis Security has been a winner of Security Guarding Company of the Year at the Security Excellence Awards
The site is now more secure with the new access control system from Axis Security

Axis Security, winner of Security Guarding Company of the Year at the Security Excellence Awards, has secured a contract to supply access control and concierge duties for Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service’s headquarters.

Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service serves a resident population of more than one million people divided amongst the five constituent councils of Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, South Tyneside and Sunderland .

David Riley, Commercial Manager for Axis Security in the North East, is pleased to be working with one of the emergency services at such an important site. He said: “We won the tender based on our reputation in the area in providing access control and concierge services.

“Security at such a site is obviously very important and we are proud to ensure the site is safe and secure.”

Stew Watson, Head of Estates at Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service, said: “The services that Axis provides us will enhance our existing security systems in ensuring our HQ site continues to enjoy a fully integrated protected solution.”
