Manned guarding services from Axis Security at work on BNP Paribas Real Estate properties
Axis is providing security to 17 properties across London and the immediate South East region

Axis Security, one of the UK's fastest growing providers of integrated security solutions, has been selected to protect a number of properties across the Capital and South East, owned and managed by BNP Paribas Real Estate UK.

The contract first started in April 2009 when Axis Security was appointed on competitive tender to provide manned guarding services to one of its central London office buildings on Holborn Viaduct.

Matthew Hern of BNP Paribas Real Estate comments: "With over 30 other properties, we were looking to go to the market. The aim was to reduce the number of suppliers we were using and build strong relationships with just two suppliers that could provide the quality of service we required."

In looking for new security providers, BNP Paribas Real Estate invited Axis Security to tender for the Holborn Viaduct contract to provide security officers to the site both day and night, alongside a security manager.

As a result, following a further tender process, Axis was awarded 50 percent of the portfolio, and since November has been providing security to 17 properties across London and the immediate South East region. "We gave the Axis management team very short notice to implement the contract, and were very impressed with the mobilisation process," Matthew continues. "They worked extremely hard to ensure that the contract was up and running to deadline, providing excellent weekly updates throughout the project management process so we knew exactly what was happening at each of the sites."

Moreover, the Axis team were very quick to introduce themselves and get to know the existing officers. "The fact that all of the officers across the properties were retained by Axis is testament to the strength of its management team and its approach to employees," Matthew concludes. Subsequently, Axis has been awarded additional work from the Regional Facilities Managers as a result of BNP Paribas Real Estate being awarded further business.

Commenting on the contract, Managing Director of Axis Security Jonathan Levine said he was pleased to have the opportunity of working with such a prestigious organisation. "We are delighted that BNP Paribas Real Estate has recognised the industry-leading benefits package we offer to employees and look forward to a mutually beneficial partnership," he says.
