Video surveillance and remote monitoring company mobiDEOS. Inc. announces the availability of WebView, the professional security industry's first truly open web-based platform for fixed surveillance.

Now shipping globally, WebView frees security professionals and other end users from the restraints of inflexible, proprietary systems.  WebView users can connect to IP cameras, DVRs, NVRs and video servers from different vendors, and access all components from a single browser - eliminating the need for multiple interfaces and browsers to achieve the same task.

WebView users can quickly respond to security events, gather business intelligence and remotely monitor general activity at any location, from any location.

Interoperable with MAC systems in addition to PCs, WebView gives users true freedom in choice of browser.  WebView users can configure the system within minutes, using Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Chrome, Safari and/or Opera browsers to establish connections with cameras and recorders.  Setup time is further minimized with no software, plug-ins or active controls to install.

"WebView gives business owners, facility managers and other professionals "anywhere, anytime" access to multiple devices over a single interface," said Sri L. Palasamudram, CEO of mobiDEOS, Inc.  "With nothing to install, users have access to an open platform within minutes, freely able to view and control cameras, DVRs, NVRs and video servers from any browser."

WebView was born from the success of MobileCamViewer, the award-winning mobiDEOS product that introduced flexible remote monitoring and surveillance over smartphones and other mobile devices.  Future WebView releases will support interoperability with MobileCamViewer, allowing users of both products to synchronize WebView to smartphones and easily transfer information between systems.

WebView uses the same proven engine as MobileCamViewer for reliable service and connectivity.  Logging in to the system is simple as accessing a GMail or Facebook account, allowing users to quickly launch surveillance and monitoring operations.

Like MobileCamViewer, systems integrators can use the mobiDEOS TestMonitor solution to wirelessly test video source equipment connected to WebView, ensuring that camera positions are functioning correctly and covering the correct range of vision.  Installers can also check an entire network of cameras from a single location, eliminating the need to manually connect to every camera in the network with separate login information.
