Dahua has received wide recognition from customers of different vertical markets
Despite the worldwide economic recession in the past year, Dahua has received wide recognition from customers of different vertical markets. Though the regional market niches vary from one to another, Dahua’s turnover growth reached more than 45% throughout the last year, ranking 10th in the 2011 top 50 security companies.

Dahua plans to develop new cost-effective DVRs, providing another affordable solution that stands out from other products. The integration of network camera to NVR will be a new challenge. “We hope to refine our market via the integration and optimisation of the back-end software,” said James Wang, Product Manager for the International Department, “ We are looking forward to accomplishing both routing and network capability at the same time.”

In the face of demand for high definition, intelligence and networking, Dahua has prioritised the needs of the customer, working on upgrading the product structure by strong R&D ability and market accumulation. Throughout the year of 2011, Dahua launched storage products based on the N6 platform. The DVR has grown to a system from a single product through the innovative promotion of 3.0.

The product plan in 2012 will refine the full series of video surveillance products. The full-line network camera with HD chip which features 1.3-megapixel CCD and CMOS is a distinctive product line, and the 2.0-megapixel 1080P CMOS has been developed over three years. The speed dome with in-house design zoom module and the analogue camera with 700 TVL have been applied to many domestic projects and received much recognition. Together with the megapixel speed dome, the intelligent auto-tracking dome will be the new front-end product.

“Since the back-end device market has already been saturated,” said Wang, “the revenue growth of this year will largely depend on the sales volume of front-end devices. The network camera for the overseas sales volume increased six times and remains to be the key segment of the production line.” Furthermore, the company has offered a one-stop shopping solution to better serve the demands of the customer, ranging from the display, and video door phone to intelligent lock (fingerprint, biometrics).

According to Wang, the optimisation of software will become one of Dahua’s directions in the new year to come, intelligent mobile devices, such as the iPhone and iPad, are increasingly popular, therefore the application software should be more scalable to the mobile users.

Dahua has introduced the comprehensive high-end solution and “Safe City” solution of the third generation — Video platform M60, which is a breakthrough in terms of its compatibility, reliability, scalability and intelligent applications. The release of the 8.0-megapixel intelligent traffic HD camera, 8.0-megapixel radar speed camera and traffic management platform indicates that the company has accomplished the development from storage products to front-end products.

The Safe City project deployed in Mauritius utilises the technology listed above. The company’s video surveillance systems installed in Mauritius’ capital and a local famous resort, have also been successfully transferred to local police authorities. “Our ultimate goal is to become a total solution provider by all means,” emphasised Chen, the vice president of Dahua.
