QNAP Security will showcase VioStor NVR and the 12-bay VS-12100U-RP Pro VioStor NVR Series

QNAP Security, a professional manufacturer of Linux-embedded, standalone Network Video Recorder (NVR) solutions, is pleased to announce its participation at IFSEC 2012 to showcase the entire VioStor NVR series, including the 1 to 8-drive high performance VioStor NVR and the latest 12-bay VS-12100U-RP Pro VioStor NVR series.

The new 12-bay VS-12100U-RP Pro series, available in 64, 56, 48, or 40-channel for HD recording, features Quad-core Intel Xeon E3 Processor and server-level hardware platform, and supports high storage capacity up to 48TB. "We are very proud that the VS-12164U-RP Pro VioStor NVR was honored in Secutech Excellence Awards contest with NVR Excellence Award this year," said Amily Fang, product manager of QNAP Security. "The award proves the solid recognition from buyers and experts on QNAP VioStor NVR user-interface and surveillance features."

With the reformed firmware V4.0.0, which will be released in May, VS-12100U-RP Pro series and all VioStor NVR models will carry out several advanced features, including new monitoring and playback interface, cross-browsers enhancement, QNAP Surveillance Client for Mac, ACTi/Vivotek fisheye cameras support, and multi-stream enhancement. In addition to Internet Explorer, VioStor NVR will extensively support Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox on Windows PC. The software QNAP Surveillance Client for Mac enables Mac users to operate the surveillance task on Mac systems.

QNAP CMS (Centralised Management Solution), the Linux-embedded and highly reliable CMS server, is the turnkey solution on surveillance integrating system hardware and software for 24x7 operations. Users can experience the optimal performance through the live demo with the intuitive and friendly user interface at IFSEC 2012.

QNAP Security has been continuing working on NVR compatibility enhancement which enables users to select among a wide range of IP cameras and video servers. VioStor NVR is now compatible with more than 1,300 IP cameras and video servers from 62 popular brands.
