Deployment of smart campus cards is an important topic in the educational business. Bringing together functionalities such as attendance recording and monitoring, cashless catering and campus access control has so many benefits that more and more HEIs and FEIs are implementing smart technologies to their campus sites. However, integration of applications is often considered complex. The University of Nottingham shows how integration can be made simple by implementation of a stream-lined solution and platform for the future, thanks to a converged approach to access control and card management, delivered by Nedap.
