Communication Networks of Danbury, Connecticut, doing business as ComNet™, a leading manufacturer of fiber optic transmission and networking equipment, has hired Steven Carrozzo to be the company's Vice President of Sales.  Steve will be responsible for company's sales efforts within North and South America.  Steve will report directly to George Lichtblau, ComNet's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.  Carrozzo held the role of Director of National Sales at GE's IFS unit for the past 5 years before IFS was dissolved earlier this year.  Steve has over 25 years of experience in the security market and his knowledge of the video and communications fields is greatly respected.

Carrozzo will be responsible for managing the growing sales demand for the ComNet product line.  Steve will be tasked with establishing a sales team and implementing a network of top manufactures' representatives to help in satisfying that demand.

"Steve has a terrific understanding of CCTV video and the advantages that optical fiber brings to a security system. This adds a great perspective on how our line of ComNet fiber optic products can be beneficial to our customers,"  stated George Lichtblau, ComNet Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.  "I'll rely heavily on him to develop a sales strategy that will allow that knowledge be transferred to our sales team and ultimately to our customer,"  Lichtblau continued.

"I'm very happy and excited to be given this opportunity.  It's great to once again have challenges and work for an owner who shares the common goal of growing a business by offering a better solution"  said Steve Carrozzo on his new role.

"It's salesperson's dream to work for a company whose plan for success is based on cutting edge product development and a commitment to truly supporting the customer.  I know that's what George envisions as the future of ComNet", continued Carrozzo.  ComNet has recently announced an extensive line of fiber optic video and data transmission equipment as well as a line of ethernet network equipment that is uniquely toughened to meet the needs of the security and intelligent transportation system market.

Steven Carrozzo has a Technical Degree in Digital Electronics from Island Drafting and Technology Institute in New York. Steve will be based in the ComNet Corporate offices in Danbury, CT.  Steven Carrozzo to head sales effort on behalf of ComNet for the Americas
