Vemotion Interactive, specialists in live video transmission over low bandwidth connections, announced a new unit that provides a reliable live video feed from virtually any location.

The VB-30 takes multiple analogue video inputs or IP camera inputs, 12v power inputs and uses Vemotion technology to compress and transmit live video over a variety of networks including low bandwidth networks such as GPRS and 3G, back to a control room and, optionally, out to other remotely deployed operatives. The unit has been designed with ease of use, reliability and flexibility in mind. The ability to connect multiple cameras and configure multiple outputs offers greatest versatility and most efficient use of resources.

“The transmitter requires power, video and a network via a separate 3G or Ethernet router. Inputs and outputs are configured and, being PC based, the VB-30 unit can be operated locally via a user interface, as well as remotely from the control room,” explained Stewart McCone, Managing Director of Vemotion Interactive Ltd. “This allows the unit operator on the remote vehicle or location to see what is being transmitted to the control room and, therefore, manage the system to provide the optimum performance for any given situation,” added McCone.

The unit will connect to a server application which can be installed in a central control room or to any computer with a fixed IP address. Then, by installing a viewer application on a PC or mobile phone, you can view live video from wherever you are. You can even control PTZ cameras and switch between different qualities of video output depending on network conditions.
