Steskal, Poland has opted for CEM AC2000 Lite security management system

CEM Systems, part of Tyco Security Products, announced that Steskal, Poland, has opted to install CEM AC2000 Lite security management system to secure its premises in Krakow. The system will be installed by CEM Approved Reseller, AGIS Fire & Security in Poland (formerly ADT Fire & Security).

Steskal specialise in bakery, confectionery, catering services, wholesale and retail food supply. AC2000 Lite was selected by Steskal because it is a cost-effective yet feature-rich security management solution with a range of comprehensive security applications. The company has chosen the fully translated Polish version of the AC2000 Lite software, making the system easy for staff to use.

AC2000 Lite is a fully integrated access control, alarm processing and photo badging security management system. At the centre of the Steskal system will be the AC2000 Lite Controller, an intelligent network device which provides Ethernet connectivity to a range of CEM Ethernet readers and controllers.

The AC2000 Lite Controller eliminates the need for a server and is designed to be easy to install, meaning minimal disruption to operations at the Steskal site in Krakow. "State-of-the-art technology is very important to our customer and the AC2000 Lite system was chosen because it supports biometric technology in addition to offering feature rich software," said Kamil Kierzkowski, Product Manager, AGIS Fire & Security in Poland.

The installation will also utilise the CEM eDCM 300 (Door Control Module), an intelligent two door controller. The eDCM 300 allows third party read heads to be interfaced directly to the AC2000 system and features a database for full off-line validation capability at the point of entry, when host communication is not available, ensuring cardholders' requests continue to be validated.

Moreover, the AC2000 Lite software offers many features which are important for Steskal. These include applications such as AC2000 Visitors, AC2000 Time & Attendance, AC2000 AED (Alarm Event Display) and AC2000 External Systems which offers integration to some external systems such as CCTV, DVR and intruder alarms.

"The range of features available in the system was a key decision factor for Steskal in choosing AC2000 Lite. It was also important for the customer that their security management system was fully available in their language to ensure ease of use for all staff, and this is a requirement that AC2000 Lite could meet," said Andrew Fulton, Business Development Director, CEM Systems. "That AC2000 Lite is so comprehensive in functionality and cost-effective, demonstrating why it continues to set the benchmark as one of the most accomplished security management solutions available for the small to mid range markets."
