Pelco announces interoperability with Barco for streaming video solutions
The latest range of video encoders and cameras from Pelco now has integrated support by Barco
Pelco
and Barco are pleased to announce a new integrated solution that offers interoperability of their streaming video solutions.  Thanks to the open API standard used, Pelco video encoders and camera systems now perfectly integrate with Barco for streaming video solutions.

According to company management, this combined solution offers the companies' shared customers ease-of-installation and integration with third party applications in their control room environments and has already been deployed successfully in reference projects such as the City of Lyon (France) urban CCTV systems and continues to demonstrate the Pelco commitment toward openness.

Pelco also continues to broaden the market's understanding of what IP-based security can mean to your unique application - from high-resolution image quality and full frame-rate video, to a clear understanding of bandwidth constraints, storage requirements, and more.  The latest range of video encoders and cameras from Pelco now has integrated support by Barco, all based on open API.

The Barco streaming solutions now directly communicate with the supported Pelco cameras and encoders.  This new interoperability ensures smoother installation and easier customer deployment while still allowing for a thorough integration with third party applications.

"This powerful integration will provide system operators a perfect solution for display management of IP video solutions," says Stéphane Lantoine, Business Development Manager for Integration at Pelco Europe. "The combined expertise of Pelco and Barco ensures that our mutual customers will benefit from high-end video security solutions."

"Interoperability is crucial in security control rooms today," said Steven Ooms, Market Director Traffic & Surveillance at Barco. "Hence, we greatly value our cooperation with a global leader like Pelco to offer interoperable streaming video solutions to customers worldwide."
