VIDEOR is expanding its range with the NVRmini, a Linux-based network video recorder manufactured by NUUO. The compact system, which is available in 4, 8 or 16-channel versions, stands out thanks to its high level of performance and reliability. It can manage up to 16 IP cameras, which are detected at the touch of a button by the "camera auto detect" function. An intelligent search detects movement, foreign or missing objects, loss of focus and if the camera is covered. The system supports H.264, M-JPEG, MPEG4, MxPEG and a maximum recording resolution of up to 8 megapixels. Up to four SATA II hard disks are used for storing the recordings. These disks can be combined into an RAID 0, 1, 5, 5 + spare or 10 unit and can be exchanged whilst the recorder is operating.

NUUO equips the NVRmini with a web-based user interface and separate software. Although these incorporate an extensive range of functions, both are easy to use. The software solution is constructed in a modular manner and can manage up to 16 NVRminis in parallel. Once configured, a permanent connection between the PC and the NVRmini can be created via a Windows share, if required. Thanks to the unique Server-client structure: NAS centralize all data streams transmitting from NAS to remote client users, which ensures the performance with good quality. Comparing with equivalent products, the full range of functions is offered without compromising performance. Both the playback functions and the camera controls respond with almost no delay.

NUUO, which was founded in 2004, specialises in network video (NVR) and hybrid recorders. As the result of an open-source strategy, all NUUO products can communicate with a range of cameras. The current NVRmini supports 14 brands e.g. Axis and Sony, while main console software supports 36 brands.
