VideoIQ’s R-series of appliances easily converts any video surveillance system into prevention solution with real-time monitoring and mobile alerts
Mahesh Saptharishi is the new President & CTO, Kristina O’Connell joined as CMO and Frank Trimboli as Sr. Regional Sales Director

VideoIQ, the recognised leader in advanced video analytic surveillance solutions, recently announced it continues to strengthen its management team with three key appointments. Mahesh Saptharishi assumed the role of President & CTO, Kristina O’Connell joined as CMO and Frank Trimboli joined as Sr. Regional Sales Director.

These appointments come at an exciting time for this inspiring young company whose mission is to help prevent crime with intelligent video analysis. The company has recently launched the R-Series of appliances, which easily converts any video surveillance system into a prevention solution with real-time monitoring and mobile alerts. One significant achievement is the fact that VideoIQ is currently analysing over 450 petabytes of video every 12 seconds from its 30K+ channels deployed worldwide. The market continues to respond enthusiastically to the companies’ solutions, as VideoIQ builds on its record 2012 results, which realised over 50% YoY growth.

“This team is well positioned to take VideoIQ’s intelligent analytics to the next level. We have a unique competitive advantage because we can analyze and respond to events faster and more accurately than anyone else. The deployment of video cameras in homes and small businesses is growing dramatically. Unfortunately, 99.9% of that video is of no interest and false alarms are high. With our new cloud based analytics, VideoIQ is uniquely positioned to add value by alerting the user in real-time to only those events they care about – right to their mobile device, so appropriate action can be taken. VideoIQ can couple our analytics with any current surveillance system, regardless of camera type or model. We will continue to grow share and expand the market, but most importantly, we will impact life safety through active prevention. This is what fuels and motivates us every single day,” said Ed Bednarcik, CEO of VideoIQ.

Dr. Saptharishi, Co-Founder and CTO of VideoIQ, combines unmatched technical expertise with strong business acumen to deliver on his new role as President. He had the early realisation of what is possible while continuously learning from rich visual sensory data by designing threat detection and prevention systems that push the boundaries of technology and science.

“This team is well positioned to take VideoIQ’s intelligent analytics to the next level"

O’Connell has spent the past 20 years driving global brand recognition and revenue growth for technology companies. Her most notable success was leading F5 Networks’ worldwide marketing, which resulted in helping them become a pioneer and dominating the load balancing market. Her experience will help drive the VideoIQ brand globally.

As a seasoned veteran in physical security and surveillance, Frank understands the market and what is needed to deliver VideoIQ’s intelligent analytics to new and current security installations. Throughout his career he has successfully built and managed sales teams, sales channels and strategic partnerships and alliances.

“Recording video is simply not enough. The consequences for most industry segments are just too great. VideoIQ offers anytime, anywhere monitoring, even in the most challenging environments. VideoIQ is poised to play a major role in crime prevention for any business or person threatened by service interruption, vandalism, theft or lack of proper security. You simply cannot sacrifice safety.”
