ACT appoints new distributor for Portuguese access control market
PovoaSecurity has chosen ACT as its primary access control supplier
Access Control Technology (ACT) Ltd., a leading manufacturer of access control equipment, has appointed PovoaSecurity as an official distributor for the Portuguese market.

Serge Tureau, ACT's Export Sales Manager said: "We are delighted to appoint PovoaSecurity as a distributor of ACT's access control equipment. We have ambitious growth plans for the European market and we consider Portugal to be an important territory in these plans."

PovoaSecurity has its base in Lisbon. Established by Fernando Povoa, who has over 30 years of experience in the security industry, the company specialises in the distribution of Intruder Alarms, Fire Alarms, CCTV and Access Control. PovoaSecurity has chosen ACT as its primary access control supplier and aims to be one of the major players in the Portuguese security market. Antonio Cruz, Technical Director with ProvoaSecurity, said: "We are delighted to be appointed as a distributor for ACT in Portugal. The ACT products have a proven reliability and the technical and commercial support offered by ACT is second to none."

The ACT products range from simple stand-alone readers to highly flexible solutions designed to meet the most demanding requirements of any size enterprise. The products will integrate with many third-party applications including card readers and databases. ACT's extensive range of access control and audio-video door devices currently protect government sites, major educational facilities, pharmaceutical organisations, hospitals, prisons and retail chain stores.
