Axis security, London's fastest growing security service providers
Axis Security, has been awarded the internationally recognised ISO 14001 environmental accreditation
Axis Security, one of London and the City's fastest growing security service providers, has been awarded the internationally recognised ISO 14001 environmental accreditation, in recognition of its firm commitment to help the environment and reduce the environmental impact of its processes.

ISO 14001 is the international management standard for the environment, providing businesses with a structured process for making environmental improvements. ISO 14001 specifies requirements for establishing an environmental policy, determining environmental aspects and impacts of products/activities/services, planning environmental objectives and measurable targets, implementation and operation of programs to meet objectives and targets, checking and corrective action, and management review.

Achieving this standard acknowledges the long-term pledge made by Axis' management team to implement sustainable, efficient and effective business practices, according to Jonathan Levine, Managing Director: "We are delighted to have been awarded the standard," he says.

"Axis Security recognises that the long-term viability of our business is dependent on sustainable operations, those that drive efficient resource use and provide a healthy environment, which in turn facilitates social progress and economic growth. As a company we therefore strive to act as responsible stewards of the environment and commit to continual improvement. It is a great boost to have these objectives officially recognised by an independent body."

Although the procedures under this standard emanate from Axis' HQ, Axis is working hard to ensure that they are read and put into practice wherever possible at its customers' premises, and that it works hand in hand with its clients for the common good.

After passing stage one of the standard in November, Axis was audited for the second (and final) stage of the accreditation in January. For further information on Axis' environmental policy, please visit www.axis-security.co.uk
