Roy Hudson, Account Manager at Axis SecurityAxis Security, one of London and the City's fastest growing security service providers, has appointed Roy Hudson as Account Manager.

Roy has 17 years experience in the security industry and will have responsibility for operational and fiscal management of a portfolio of contracts.  He will also be taking over as line manager to two account support managers and will be based at the Wharfdale Road offices, London.  As Roy explains:  "I left the army after 16 years and the security industry seemed like an obvious progression as I could relate to the hours, shifts and some of the duties.  [...] It's fantastic to join a company like Axis at a time when it has such ambitions and exciting plans.  It is a completely new and fresh challenge for all of us and allows us to instil the ideals and beliefs we have about the industry."

Roy was previously Operations Manager at First Security for four years and before that held the position of Contract Manager at Reliance.  It is his past experience that has given him ideas for the future:  "We have all had frustrating times, wanting to make changes but not being able to because of budget and other constraints.  [...] At Axis we can introduce and implement these ideas from the start and make them part of our way of thinking."

He believes it gives Axis an opportunity other companies in the industry would relish:  "We are trying to get the industry to where it should be," he concludes.  "We want to treat our officers as more than just staff; they are our image and we want them to reflect us.  That is why we have implemented a new range of benefits and performance related awards - we all have an important part to play in the company, but our officers are among our top priorities."

Axis Security was originally formed in 1994 and has grown to deliver a range of security-based services, at the heart of which is its manned guarding expertise.  Customers already include some of the City's leading property management companies, media businesses, solicitors and other professional service providers.

As well as its core manned guarding offering, Axis also delivers a range of complementary services including front of house/reception teams, post room services, keyholding and mobile patrols.  All of its employees are fully vetted, licensed and trained, and receive the highest levels of management support.
