CCTV Center will distribute Sony's full portfolio of video security solutions in the UK

Sony has recently announced that it has expanded its UK distribution channel through a new agreement with leading IP video security supplier, CCTV Center. This strategic partnership bolsters the company’s UK distribution platform and will underpin continued growth for the company in the video security market.

Founded in 2001, CCTV Center is one of the UK’s premier suppliers of IP CCTV equipment, providing security integrators across the UK and Ireland with high quality security products, solutions and services.

CCTV Center’s partnership with Sony will see the company distribute Sony’s full portfolio of video security solutions and provide end user, consultant and installer customers with expert product insight and on the ground support.

Elaine Bennett, Distribution Account Manager at Sony Europe, comments on the significance of the new partnership: “CCTV Center’s specialist understanding of the IP market and extensive experience in delivering end-to-end security solutions is unrivalled, and as a business they share our passion for servicing the market with the highest quality solutions. Our new alliance will empower us to provide an even stronger support network for our UK video security dealers and extend our reach in the UK and Ireland, delivering constant value to the market.”

The collaboration comes at a significant period of market growth and product development for Sony, following the recent launch of its G6 video security portfolio and preceding a pipeline of new solutions to be announced at IFSEC in May, 2013. Sony’s market leading technology, including its sophisticated IPELA ENGINE, sets a new benchmark for image capture in within the industry.

Phil Campbell, Sales Director, CCTV Center, added: “Working with Sony is a real coup for us. This partnership enables us to offer the most cutting-edge solutions on the market across our established dealer network and really drive the uptake of IP. Sony’s at the forefront of product innovation and we’re excited to be able to offer technologies like its IPELA Engine and G6 cameras, that stand to bring considerable value to the UK market.”
