The latest Ganz C-Allview high-speed ruggedised PTZ cameras from CBC Europe have been chosen to secure Medway Council's new headquarters in Chatham, Kent. The latest Ganz C-Allview high-speed ruggedised PTZ cameras from CBC Europe have been chosen to secure Medway Council's new headquarters in Chatham, Kent.  The installation is a key part of a major, four-year upgrade contract, which the council has awarded to TJW Electrical.

Medway, which is a unitary authority covering five major towns at the heart of the Thames Gateway development, has pioneered the use of microwave transmission to hub-sites, such as schools and council premises.  From these hub-sites images are relayed via broadband to the Control Centre.

"Using a combination of local HDD recording at the hub-sites, and remote monitoring via broadband, we have developed an affordable way of extending CCTV coverage to outlying areas and local neighbourhoods," said Steve Craddock, TJW's general manager.Steve Craddock, general manager of TJW Electrical

Medway Council's Head of Operational Buildings, Richard Pellant, praised the Ganz C-Allviews for their robustness, high performance, and competitive pricing.  He said, "These are versatile cameras and having installed a number of them throughout Medway this year, we are planning to use more at a number of sites as our upgrade project continues."

The new Chatham office directly overlooks the River Medway and the C-Allviews deliver superior performance in coping with all weather conditions at the site.  With their distortion-free, optically flat glass, built-in wipers, and IP67 rating, the cameras deliver crisp, clear images in conditions where other models might struggle.
