Avocado Security launches new Business Intelligence products
Avocado Security plans launch of four new products at ISC West 2009
In previous years, most organizations' physical security and IT security have operated independently, and have been managed through separate departments. However, there is a new technological shift-taking place in the market, combining physical security with Business Intelligence (BI) to drive even greater operational efficiencies. The convergence of BI with physical security will not only transform the way companies protect their assets, but BI will also further change the way they do business internally across departments, as well as externally in marketing their products and services with customers.

During ISC West, Avocado Security will speak to four new product launches including:

  • Avocado Enterprise Express version 2.0, released Q4 of 2008
  • Avocado 3.0, will be released Q1 of 2009, at ISC West
  • Avocado Lite version 3.0, will be released Q1 of 2009, at ISC West
  • Avocado Free version 3.0, will be released Q2 of 2009, at ISC West

As a technology innovator, Avocado Security is able to give companies the ability to translate their security camera video footage into real-time business intelligence information that details their security safeguards and security threats on a continuous basis. The security business intelligence generated by Avocado Security's technology can also be shared across many different departments such as security, loss prevention, sales, marketing and operations, giving companies the ability to not only use their security data to improve security but to also drive sales and operational efficiencies. By enabling security + business intelligence information sharing across the entire organization, Avocado Security provides a web based On-Demand service. This, along with video mining and a backend data centre, helps increase productivity, security and business intelligence across the entire enterprise.

With Avocado Security's security and BI metrics, a CEO can access information on how the entire organization is running, the Vice President of Marketing can verify why there is more traffic in a particular area of a store, and the Vice President of Sales can validate cash register (point of sale or POS) figures with security images to effectively understand how to up-sell the next product - turning security cameras into intelligent security devices as well as into "money-making" machines.
