Basler IP cameras supported by Milestone Systems
Customers can use the easy-to-manage Milestone graphical interface to control Basler's IP cameras
Basler Vision Technologies has teamed with Milestone Systems to integrate the Basler IP camera series with Milestone XProtect™ open platform IP video surveillance management software. All Basler IP camera models are now supported by Milestone XProtect Basis+, Enterprise, Professional, and Corporate products. This integration brings a powerful, top-quality solution to the surveillance community.

Customers can use the easy-to-manage Milestone graphical interface to control Basler's IP cameras and take advantage of the high degree of operational as well as functional flexibility. On the camera side, customers can choose from four different models with VGA to 2 megapixel resolution and benefit from the unique Area of Interest (AOI) functionality. This feature lets users define regions within the original field of view to see greater detail in the surveillance images.

"Milestone is considered to be the market leader for IP video surveillance software. As a newcomer in the surveillance market, we are pleased to cooperate with a company that has such an excellent reputation. This integration will mark an important milestone in our efforts to provide best-in-class solutions for a wide range of security applications," states Gerrit Schreiber, Product Manager, Basler Vision Technologies.

"When Basler leveraged their technical expertise to enter the IP camera market last year, the unique handy size and top-precision imaging specifications of their products caused a lot of excitement in the industry. Milestone continues to bolster innovation by ensuring that our software platform supports such excellent network camera offerings in the marketplace," says Henrik Friborg, VP Strategic Alliances and co-founder of Milestone Systems
