Morse Watchmans announces the addition of faster and more flexible email notification functionality to its powerful enterprise-level KeyWatcher® Touch key control and asset management system. Advanced features of KeyWatcher Touch also include the ability to integrate multiple locations, with common usage of databases and programming for a true enterprise-wide solution; KeyAnywhere which allows the return of any key to any KeyWatcher cabinet in the system; and KeyFind to quickly locate a specific key.
New notification functionality for KeyWatcher Touch includes the ability to send alerts that contain much more information than previously. The system can send emails to specific recipients, with options to include CC and/or BCC fields. Time stamps are now specific down to the second, and emails are pushed to the server and delivered faster. There are also options for SMS notifications, formatted to the 180-character limit, and emails can be sent securely from an external or Web-hosted email service. Email notifications can be assigned to users or keys, and transactional emails can also be created for various alarms, keys, users, etc.

The KeyWatcher Touch is engineered around a new CPU board with a built-in SD card slot, USB connectivity, 10/100 Ethernet and audio output jack. Convenient user features include access via a new optical fingerprint reader and card reader (complete with alarm and access control integration capability), as well as larger buttons and an easier-to-use interface with step-by-step instructions. Keys available for access can be called up on the screen and “My Keys Out” and “KeyFind” are additional new operations that provide users with the location of a specified key, what keys have not been returned and when the key will become overdue.
The unified system allows multiple KeyWatcher Touch locations to be connected, using a shared SQL database, and can accommodate more than 14,000 keys and 10,000 users. Control and management of the system including programming, remote functions and reporting are available with KeyWatcher TrueTouch software and KeyWatcher Server as the primary interface for the client software and database maintenance.
The new large touchscreen is designed for superior durability and reliability with a resolution of 800x480, excellent readability and a wide viewing angle. The front glass is rated at 7 Mohs hardness for scratch resistance yet only requires an activation force close to 0 grams for operation.
